View of Rothenburg

Getting artsy :)

Rothenburg Tower

Fork in the road... medieval style

Sight seeing in Rothenburg

We did manage to squeeze in some sight seeing in between all of the soccer watching/celebrating :)
We asked all of the kids if they had walked along all of the walls of the city and they all told us they had... we were skeptical that their definition of "walking ALL along the walls" was synonomous to ours so we made them walk around the entire kingdom ... seriously, how often do you get to say to your students "no one leaves until we walk the kingdom"
They were great sports, even after the many group photos and two overly excited teachers repeatedly asking "isn't that beautiful?".

Ole Oleee Oleee Oleee !!!

"So sehen Sieger an sha la la" (translation: this is what winners look like)
This was sung for hours after the game, all of our students quickly picked up the chant, along with some other chants, and sang along with many excited local soccer fans!

This was a beautiful sight on many levels. The German soccer team had just made it to the European championship game and Turkish and German fans peacefully celebrated for hours. The size of this flag was like nothing I have ever seen. It was also wonderful to see German express national pride which is very rare.
